ART FOR MAGNOLIA

 From December 4 to 20, 2025, Créations en Urgence is launching an online art sale to benefit its MAR residency via artformagnolia.cargo.site

Newly opened in June 2025, MAR is an artist residency located in the village of Eresos on the island of Lesbos in Greece. MAR welcomes artists, feminist and queer activists living in countries in crisis or in situations of forced displacement. Between June and October 2025, it welcomed its first cohort of artists from Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. MAR aims to be a space dedicated to creation, reflection, and rest, away from the obligations of production of the art world. 

The MAR project relies on a network of volunteers and currently requires a significant financial and time commitment from its members. The residency, which is still in the process of being set up, needs to raise €10,000 to finish the year. 

This €10,000 will enable us to reimburse the money spent on hosting the artists from the first cohort, to advance the costs of fitting out the residence, and to welcome the first residents of 2026 in the best possible conditions.

Putting together the generously donated works of 33 artists, this online sale will enable us to reimburse the money spent on hosting the artists from the first group, to advance the costs of fitting out the residence, and to welcome the first residents of 2026 in the best possible conditions.
